The SCTE Broadband Fiber Installer (BFI) v2.0 certification sets the industry benchmark for expertise in the installation and maintenance of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) systems. Designed to address the needs of modern broadband networks, the certification validates a technician’s ability to plan, deploy, verify, and troubleshoot fiber optic systems, ensuring seamless service delivery to end users.
The Broadband Fiber Installer (BFI) certification builds on the knowledge gained from the Broadband Premises Installer (BPI) and Broadband Premises Technician (BPT) certification(s).
