The SCTE Broadband Distribution (BDS) curriculum on the distribution of radio frequency (RF) signals in the coaxial portion of the hybrid-fiber coax (HFC) access network. This curriculum is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to excel when working on the coaxial portion of the access network. This comprehensive training program provides a deep understanding of the components and functionalities of broadband distribution systems.
By the end of this curriculum, learners will possess extensive knowledge of system architectures, power supplies, active and passive components, and construction within the access network. The course delves into how signals operate within the network and utilizes system design calculations to verify proper signaling. Additionally, the curriculum covers essential aspects of proper maintenance, network sweeping, and troubleshooting techniques. It ensures that learners are well-prepared to handle the challenges of modern telecommunications networks.
