Join SCTE Standards Form
Membership in the SCTE Standards Program is open to any organization, as a whole, wishing to participate in the development of broadband cable telecommunications industry standards and practices. Industry professionals interested in individual SCTE membership are invited to research and join SCTE Individual membership. If you are uncertain of which program to join, please contact us at info@scte.org to learn more.
Once your membership is processed, you will be provided with information on how to enroll individuals in specific standards development activities and groups. There is no limit on the number of participants, and all employees of the applying organization may participate in any standards work of interest to the organization or the individual.
Organizations joining the SCTE Standards Program agree to abide by current SCTE Standards Program procedures and policies found on the Procedures and Forms page. These rules include obligations on members with regard to confidentiality and intellectual property. Membership Category
When selecting your membership category below, please select your organization’s membership category from the options below. Once your application has been processed, your organization will be invoiced for their annual dues amount based on your selection.
Service Providers
The service provider member category includes any organization that operates broadband systems that provide services to customers, including but not limited to video, Internet, phone, and security services.
Programmers and Video Service Providers
The programmer and video service provider member category includes any organization that generates video or audio content and/or is primary in the business of distributing video or audio content. Members in this category pay a reduced rate compared to other vendors, suppliers and manufacturers and only have access to the Digital Video Subcommittee (DVS).
Vendors, Suppliers, or Manufacturers
Vendor, supplier, or manufacturer members include any organization that conducts business or has business interests within the broadband telecommunications industry. The annual dues rate for these members is based on the amount of annual broadband-related revenue.
Standards Developing Organizations, Nonprofit Organizations, Associations, Universities, Government Agencies, or Individual Consultants
Any standards developer, nonprofit organization, association, university, government agency, or other applicable organization with interest in broadband telecommunications standards development is welcome to join. Such organizations are charged the minimum annual member dues rate of $1,500.
NOTE: Membership dues payment grants the member organization, and its employees, access to the SCTE Standards Program for a single calendar year. Dues are prorated quarterly for new members based on the date the application is submitted.
Annual Dues Assessment
Please provide your organization’s annual dues assessment from the options below. Once your application has been processed, your organization will be invoiced for their annual dues amount based on your selection.
If you select Service Provider, the annual dues rate for MSO members is based on the total number of Revenue Generating Units (RGU). RGU is defined as an individual service subscriber who generates recurring revenue for a company. For example, a single customer subscribing to two (2) separate services would count as two (2) RGUs. Such services include, but are not limited to, video, Internet, phone, and security services.
