Sooner State Chapter- Overview of DOCSIS 3.1 and Remote PHYDecember 6, 2017- 8:00 AM to 11:00 AMLocation:- Cox Communications – 11811 E. 51st St., Tulsa (with limited seating)- Additional locations TBDUpon completion of training, the attendees will be able to:- Explain why DOCSIS 3.1 was created by CableLabs®- Identify the different frequency plans used by DOCSIS 3.1- Recognize the new high-level features of PHY and MAC layers- Describe DOCSIS 3.1 multiple modulation profiles (MMP)- Identify architectures and associated specifications- Identify Distributed access architecture- Recognize Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP)- Describe Remote PHY- Recognize what is next for remote PHYThe term DOCSIS remote PHY refers to locating the DOCSIS PHY chip remotely while keeping the rest of the hardware and software centrally located. DOCSIS remote PHY represents the least amount of hardware and software that can be exported from a CMTS that will yield a system that supports an all-digital HFC network. Certification Preparation: Information gleaned in this session will better prepare attendees for the BPI, BPT, BPE, BDS, and more certifications.
