The broadband industry is changing fast. Is your career on track to keep up?
Fiber networks require a growing, specialized workforce to support, maintain and troubleshoot them. Demand for new skills and best practices is driving a parallel demand for cutting-edge training to bridge the industry’s fiber skills gap. Broadband Fiber Installer (BFI) Boot Camp, a hands-on training program endorsed by Corning and Viavi, answers this call.
Built on SCTE's BFI course and taught by an industry-certified expert, BFI Boot Camp equips learners with the skills needed in the field and the knowledge to obtain SCTE’s esteemed BFI professional certification.
In the intensive, three-day Boot Camp, learners will:
- Receive an overview of fiber to the premises (FTTP) networks and their benefits.
- Explore passive optical networks (PON), installation tools and customer premises equipment (CPE), as well as fiber preparation, optical power budgets and troubleshooting techniques.
- Receive access to one year of registration for the SCTE online BFI course and registration for the professional certification exam.
The Boot Camp will take place at CableLabs’ headquarters, 858 Coal Creek Circle, Louisville, Colorado. Registration includes lunch each day of the Boot Camp. This training program encompasses all ETA FOI, FOA CFOT and Corning competencies to ensure a thorough and effective learning experience.
