As node and amplifier output levels and upstream signal tonoise expectations both increase, we can no longer optimize the plant usingnodes and amplifiers alone. To ensure the right signal levels reach ourcustomer premise equipment, our taps can be used to narrow, receive andtransmit level windows and help limit customer premise noise that generatereturn path impairments.
