Pleasant Soaring Eagle Casino and Convention Center6800 Soaring Eagle BlvdMount Pleasant, MI 48858Preliminary Schedule:9:00 am Trooper Michael White — Michigan State Police Michigan State Police (MSP) Community Service Troopers (CSTs) are assigned to regions across the state to focus on community outreach to help strengthen communities. They serve citizens in a range of ways, including mentoring youth, working with seniors, and educating citizens on emerging crime trends. CSTs also work with other police agencies to help strengthen law enforcement. Trooper White will be presenting on Active Shooter scenarios, both at work and in private situations.11:00 am Brian Pike — Altec Brian will focus on bucket truck safety—what do you need to look at on a daily basis, and how these things can prevent an accident.11:30 am – 1:00 pm Lunch Break1:00 pm Cathy Kelbey & Mike Todd — Consumers Public Safety Outreach & Damage Prevention Team Cathy and Mike will focus on working safely around gas and electric utilities and a review of MISS DIGG policies and procedures. Cathy has been with Consumers Energy for 25 years where she brings a wealth of field experience including meter reading, gas service, and gas distribution, and also as a field supervisor. Mike has been with Consumers Energy for 1 ½ years. Mike brings 15 years of experience from the utility locating industry.2:00 pm Ken White — Mobile Medical Response Ken will present basic work place first aid and CPR skills, designed to potentially save a life in the event that these skills are required. Ken has served his community as an EMT, EMTS and paramedic for Clare County EMS from 1985 until Mobile Medical Response (MMR) purchased the service on July 1, 1996. During his tenure at MMR, White worked as a paramedic and paramedic supervisor until earning his instructor coordinator license in 2001. Ken worked full time as an EMS educator, also serving as Education Manager for Mobile Medical Response for several years.
